DocuWorld 2012 to be held in May, Orlando Conference Dates Announced

The purpose of this white paper is to present the security measures within the DocuWare software. The paper includes a discussion of the measures undertaken to achieve access security and to prevent downtimes – or at least to minimize their adverse effects on users. It includes all preventive measures against accidental or deliberate manipulation of managed content and against data loss caused by system failure. Security features also include measures to ensure data protection and the traceability of events within the system.

It mentions the underlying technologies and describes how they are used by the DocuWare system. This should provide readers with a technically sound understanding of the DocuWare system and the security it offers.

This document is intended for clients (users), consultancy companies, IT magazines and distribution partners. It assumes a certain level of technical knowledge about the structure of modern software applications, ideally of document management systems. Detailed knowledge of current or previous DocuWare systems is not required.

The status was confirmed by an audit conducted according to regulations set forth by the FDA. DocuWare Receives “Meaningful Use” Certification - Health Care Providers Vie for Stimulus Money

<p>Newburgh NY, May 26, 2011 – DocuWare, Integrated Document Management specialist, has received a new certification that helps health care providers and hospitals obtain financial incentives. As of April 1, 2011 DocuWare is the only Integrated Document Management system certified under the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®) for &quot;meaningful use&quot; for In-Patient Discharge Instructions (Module - 170.306.e, v1.1). </p> <p>As part of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) also known as the stimulus bill, hospitals and physicians can begin to receive financial incentives based on their use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs), but only if they can demonstrate to be &quot;meaningful users&quot; themselves. </p> <p>Eligible professionals and hospitals who seek to qualify for incentive payments under the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs are required by statute to use Certified EHR Technology and must demonstrate use of a qualified EHR in a meaningful manner. In 2011, this would include, for example: improving quality, safety and efficiency and reducing healthcare disparities, engaging patients and families, coordination care and maintaining privacy and security of systems and data.</p>

<p>Newburgh NY, May 24, 2011 – “Maximize Your Success with DocuWare!&quot; was the motto for the three Partner conferences held this year by Integrated Document Management Specialist, DocuWare. About 600 sales Partners and employees from around the world gathered to learn the latest product developments and strategies for 2011. </p> <p>Approximately 600 participants helped to make the annual Partner conferences hosted by DocuWare a complete success. Nearly 170 Partners came from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to attend DocuWorld D.A.C.H., held in Mallorca, Spain. With 280 attendees, DocuWorld Americas in Orlando set a new event participation record. DocuWorld in Berlin attracted about 140 DocuWare specialists from around Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). </p> <p>DocuWare Co-President Thomas Schneck, responsible for Sales &amp; Marketing, was able to report on the company’s worldwide success – 19 percent growth for 2010 and a very strong start for the new fiscal year. In the first quarter, the company enjoyed 20 percent growth in revenue over the same period in 2010. Uninterrupted, Self-Propelled Success DocuWare Grows by 19 Percent

<p>Newburgh NY, May 3, 2011 – Reaching 14.3 million Euros in total revenue, the integrated document management specialist, DocuWare, was able to once again improve on its annual results. All of the company’s subsidiaries were able to grow over the previous year with a total of nearly 1,000 new customers. To continue on this path, DocuWare continues to invest in its development of web-based solutions for document management. </p> <p>DocuWare’s presence in over 70 countries is paying off: US-based DocuWare Corporation exceeded its targets to celebrate its 10th year anniversary with revenue growth of 19.5%. In Latin America, the company was able to grow by 38.4% in 2010. In the German-speaking market, DocuWare grew by 7.6 % over the previous year. The regions EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and the UK also witnessed strong growth, registering 23.5% and 13.3% respectively. In total, revenue of the entire DocuWare Group grew by 19% to 14.3 million Euros. This also resulted in approximately 66 million Euros in project revenue for the company’s network of Authorized DocuWare Partners. Documents on demand are now a way of doing business and with these new products, anyone can have access to their information from any location and at any time.</p> <p><b>Integrated Document Management</b></p> <p>In DocuWare 5.1c, Web Client now provides most of the key features of their Windows Client. In its development, DocuWare focused on functionality, performance and scalability while putting emphasis on user-friendliness and overall well-roundedness. The advantage: common workflow processes can be mirrored, making training easier and ensuring high acceptance among users. </p> <p><b>Baskets Now Available Via the Web</b></p> <p>An important component of the document management system are its baskets, which are used in much the same way as those found on a desk. Baskets are now available with DocuWare Web Client. All documents contained in baskets can be shown in a viewer or opened in an original program (such as Microsoft Office), then edited and indexed for storage. It’s also possible, for example, to process multiple documents simultaneously and add annotations to every page of a document. Documents can be displayed in simple/detailed list form or as icons. In addition, documents in Web Client may be displayed in cover flow mode. This is particularly helpful when scrolling through documents found in a basket. </p>
