Mobile Document Scanner Meets the Highest User Demands

The free scan app from ECM specialist DocuWare enables the scanning of paper documents with any smartphone. PaperScan 2.0 is very easy to use and the excellent scan quality meets the highest demands of the business world.

A little more than one year after the introduction of the first version of PaperScan, DocuWare, a global Document Management leader, is now launching the newest generation of its scan app. Approximately 22,000 downloads speak for the quality of the product. It’s extremely easy to use: simply hold a smartphone over a document and the image will be automatically scanned; scan any additional pages if necessary; then upload them into the DocuWare document management system, into Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive, or send the images by email. PaperScan will extract the document from the photo, de-skew it, and generate a PDF file. All of this happens totally automatically. Even with poor light conditions, perfect results can be achieved with help of a flash. The core components of DocuWare’s technology are pending patent approval.


DocuWare Certifies Kodak Alaris Scanners for Use with Document Management System

New Windsor NY, December 19, 2014 – DocuWare Corporation, a global leader in the integrated document management industry, announced today that the Kodak Alaris SCANMATE i1150 and i1180 have been tested and certified with DocuWare’s latest version of their software, Version 6.6.

The testing process came about through DocuWare’s participation in the Kodak Alaris ISV Alliance Program designed to ensure compatibility by providing support for solution providers that develop software that interacts with Kodak Alaris solutions.

Docuware Releases Newest Version of Its Document Management Software: Version 6.6

New Windsor NY, October 20, 2014 – DocuWare, a global leader in Document Management, has released the newest version of its document management system, Version 6.6. This web-based solution now includes a number of improvements in areas of workflow management and email program integration.

DocuWare and Objectif Lune Announce Connector

New Windsor NY, July 24, 2014 – Industry leaders, DocuWare, in the Document Management field and Objectif Lune, providing variable data printing solutions, are proud to announce the release of a new connector within the PlanetPress Workflow Tool integrating their two powerful solutions. The free connector allows for easy document routing through PlanetPress directly to a DocuWare system.

The functionality of the recently released PlanetPress Capture OnTheGo solution is enhanced with the addition of the DocuWare connector to the PlanetPress Workflow Tool. This collaboration allows customers to go completely paperless with transaction documents. DocuWare Group – Nearly 25 Percent Growth in 2013

Germering, June 04, 2014 – The strong presence in Europe and America was key for DocuWare’s strong growth in 2013. While the company’s organic growth exceeded 14 percent, the acquisition of the American ECM company, Westbrook Technologies, helped the company grow revenue by nearly 25 percent.

Now in its 25th year, the DocuWare Group continues to take steps to becoming the worldwide leader in its market: for the fourth year in a row, they are reporting double-digit growth. The 2013 acquisition of Westbrook Technologies, a well-known provider of ECM solutions in North America, the planned integration of both product lines by 2016 will continue to bolster this success.

With revenue of 21.4 mio. €, this represented growth of 24.6 for the DocuWare Group. Without the addition of Westbrook, the company reports 12.3 percent growth or 14.1 percent when taking into account currency fluctuations. For DocuWare’s Authorized Partners (ADPs), this resulted in project revenues of approx. 100 Mio. €.


DocuWare Surveys Customers Worldwide About DMS Use

Germering, May 9, 2014 – Starting in 2014, DocuWare will be conducting bi-annual quality studies worldwide. The results will flow directly into product development. The answers from the first batch of over 13,000 DocuWare users was recently collected - the feedback was immensely positive.

In March 2014, DocuWare launched its first new quality study, which it plans to conduct two times per year going forward. Around the globe, over 13,000 users in various positions and departments were asked about their experience with DocuWare. The response rate was 12 percent. They were asked about aspects of the software like its operation, stability, maintenance and speed compared to other programs. Worldwide, the results were consistently very positive: for example, about 80 percent of those surveyed viewed the usability and stability of DocuWare better than their other business solutions; more than 88 percent of respondents would also further recommend DocuWare products.
