Spend Less for More Pages with new Brother™ Business Smart™ Lineup Expansion

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., May 4, 2015 ‐‐ Brother International Corporation, a multi‐billion dollar leader in technology for offices of all sizes, today introduced an expansion to their Business Smart™ Series color inkjet all‐in‐ones that will serve as the flagships to the Business Smart™ Plus and Business Smart™ Pro lineups.  Two new Business Smart™ all‐in‐ones will launch using new Brother INKvestment Super High Yield ink cartridges, a cartridge system designed to deliver cost‐effective, high‐volume printing for small office and home office users.

To pointedly address printing costs, these new INKvestment compatible models offer a lower total cost of ownership via 2400 page black cartridges for under $25 and 1200 page color cartridges for under $151.   As a result, higher volume business inkjet users can spend less for high capacity cartridges with these new flagship models.  The  MFC‐J5920DW ‐ Business Smart™ Plus with INKvestment and MFC‐J6925DW ‐ Business Smart™ Pro with INKvestment can provide less than $0.01 black cost per page and less than $0.05 color cost per page1 without sacrificing print speed or print quality.

Sixth Annual Brother Small Business Survey Shows Majority of Small Business Owners Are Ready to Invest in Their Businesses

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., March 25, 2015 ‐‐ Brother International Corporation, a multi‐billion dollar leader in technology for offices of all sizes, today released results from the sixth annual "Brother Small Business Survey," which showed that 54 percent of small business owners surveyed would prefer to invest in their businesses—rather than stockpiling cash—an 18‐percent swing in preference since 2010. Other survey results shed light on how small business owners feel about the economic climate. This year, 42 percent of the survey respondents report a high level of stress because of the economy, a figure that is flat with last year (42 percent) and down 16 percent from a 58‐percent high‐water mark recorded by the survey in 2013.

Forty‐one percent of respondents say they would like to spend money on tech purchases or upgrades if they increase their revenues by five percent or more this year.

Brother Introduces Desktop Scanning Solutions for SMBs

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., March 3, 2015 ‐‐ Brother International Corporation, a multi‐billion dollar leader in technology for offices of all sizes, today announced medium‐to‐high volume desktop scanners directly aligned to key IT and business initiatives. These new and enhanced devices play an important role in the SMB document lifecycle, increasing efficiency for small and mid‐size businesses (SMBs) in industries such as healthcare, retail, education, finance, legal and more.

The scanners are part of a broader effort from Brother that help  companies optimize the use of printers and scanners so they can reduce costs, increase productivity and realize improved workflow. An earlier example of this effort is the Brother “Don’t Supersize. Optimize” initiative launched in October, which encourages SMBs to explore balanced technology deployments. The new scanners, along with award‐winning printers and all‐in‐ones, make up a strong SMB product portfolio. Additionally, these devices can be combined with software and cloud solutions that empower mobility, enhance document securityand support cost recovery efforts.

BLI Announces Additional Winter 2015 Pick Awards

Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI) has announced the winners of its most coveted awards in the Printer/MFP category, selecting Hewlett-Packard (HP) as the winner of its 2015 Color Printer/MFP Line of the Year and Samsung Electronics Co. Inc., as the winner of its 2015 Monochrome Printer/MFP Line of the Year.

The Mopria Alliance’s Growing Mark in Mobile Printing

The Mopria Alliance, a global, non-profit mobile printing organization, continues to expand its membership, with a number of Brother and Epson devices recently receiving certification. Founded in September of last year, the Alliance is made up of leading document imaging technology companies with the stated goal of providing simple wireless printing from smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. Brother and Epson are joining the ranks of dozens of other companies, including Canon, HP, Samsung, Xerox, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, Ricoh and others.

This past July, Brother, which is now an executive member of the Mopria Alliance, launched its first Mopria-certified printers and all-in-ones: the HL-L8250CDN, HL-L8350CDW, HL-L8350CDWT, HL-L9200CDW, MFC-L8600CDW, MFC-L8850CDW and MFC-L9550CDW. These color-laser models support mobile printing solutions including Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Brother iPrint&Scan and Cortado Workplace.
