Konica Minolta Acquires Danka Office Imaging

Tokyo (April 9, 2008) -- Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. announced that the company has decided to acquire Danka Office Imaging Company(DOIC), a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of Danka Business Systems PLC (Danka), a company headquartered in London, UK, through Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.(KMBUS), a U.S. operating subsidiary of the group's core business company, Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc. (Konica Minolta).

DOIC is one of the largest independent suppliers of office imaging equipment, software, support, and related services and supplies in the United States. Having strong distribution network covering enterprise customers, DOIC serves over 45,000 promising customers across the United States. DOIC generated approximately $450 million in total revenue for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2007.

Survey Confirms Business Benefits of Efficient Document Management

Danka Business Systems PLC Signs Agreement With Konica Minolta to Sell U.S. Business Operations

ST. PETERSBURG, FL, Apr 08, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- Danka Business Systems PLC (Danka) (OTCBB: DANKY) (LSE: DNK.L), a leading supplier of office imaging equipment and support services in the United States, today announced it has signed a definitive agreement with Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. ("Konica Minolta"), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies from the desktop to the print shop, enabling Konica Minolta to acquire the company's wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Danka Office Imaging Company ("DOIC"), through which Danka conducts its business operations.

Under the terms of the agreement, the total purchase price is expected to be approximately $240 million. The transaction is expected to close by June 30, 2008. It is subject to a number of regulatory and other closing conditions, in both the United States and the United Kingdom, including approval of the transaction by Danka's shareholders.

Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. Announces Internal Promotions to Executive Management Team

IRVINE, Calif. Americans are at a digital loss to protect personal and financial information

MAHWAH, N.J., April 8, 2008 – As Americans do their taxes, a majority are unaware that they may be putting personal and financial information required on tax returns in jeopardy.  According to a recent survey by Sharp Electronics Corporation, almost half of all Americans are unaware of the danger of using insecure public copiers and printers, leaving themselves at risk for data theft if a copier is not equipped with data security measures. The survey, conducted by Roper on behalf of Sharp in February 2008, polled 1,004 adults regarding their perceptions of digital copier security.

Another survey item of note indicated that 60 percent of Americans don’t know about the ability of a digital photocopier to store a document image on the hard drive, which could be later retrieved by a hacker.
