HP to Acquire Tower Software, Expanding Capabilities in Fast-growing e-Discovery and Compliance Software Market

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 31, 2008 - HP and Tower Software today announced that they have signed a pre-bid agreement for HP to acquire Tower, a document and records management software company based in Canberra, Australia.

Sharp Enhances Copier Toner Recycling Program

March 28, 2008 - Sharp recently announced that it has expanded its Toner Cartridge Recycling Program to include Sharp toner from all Sharp models, including MFPs. According to Sharp, users go to and enter the type of shipping method they wish to use (a bulk container for up to 10 toner cartridges, the original toner box or the customer’s own packaging), the type of Sharp model, the estimated weight of the package, and basic contact information.

Customers then print out the shipping label to place on the package. The recycled toner can then be picked up by UPS or dropped off at the nearest UPS location, where it will be shipped to one of three recycling centers nationwide. For those with bulk orders, cartons made of recycled cardboard are sent via UPS. Sharp’s recycling Web site says that this service is only for Sharp toner products and that Sharp will charge customers for all costs associated with the shipping and recycling of any non-Sharp product received.

Xerox Settles Securities Lawsuit

NORWALK, Conn., March 27, 2008  -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) received preliminary court approval to settle a securities lawsuit that dates back to 2000.

The company agreed to settle this case to avoid the time, expense and uncertainty of litigation. Xerox did not admit to any wrongdoing as part of the settlement, which is subject to final court approval and other conditions.

"Our strong financial position gives us the flexibility to resolve this issue while continuing to deliver shareholder value through share repurchase, dividends and acquisitions," said Anne Mulcahy, Xerox chairman and chief executive officer.

The Bureau Selects EFI Hagen OA to Manage Complex Needs of Hybrid Print Business

Foster City, Calif. – March 27, 2008 – EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced that commercial printer The Bureau, of Minneapolis, Minn., has installed Hagen OA to manage their large volume of digital and offset work. The Bureau had been an EFI customer for a number of years using a discontinued product. Two years ago they decided to implement a competing “browser based” system, but quickly discovered that system did not have the depth of capability or flexibility of an EFI MIS system and came back to EFI to install Hagen OA.
