Feb 08, 2012 Venlo, The Netherlands ─ Océ, a Canon Group company and an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced that it has extended its portfolio of recycled paper with a new carbon neutrally produced paper, Océ RecycledWhiteZero. Environmentally friendly through the entire chain and FSC recycled, this sustainable paper is white and smooth for wide format printing.

CO2 neutral

Océ RecycledWhiteZero paper is produced carbon neutrally in an integrated mill that uses recycled pulp. The Carbon Footprint of this paper was calculated based on all CO2 emissions produced in the product’s life cycle, according to the regulations of the Confederation of European Paper Producers (CEPI). The CO2 emissions used to produce the paper are compensated by investments in two highly accredited projects: Windpark New Caledonia, which received the Gold Standard award, and a composting project in Cape Town, South Africa. This means Océ RecycledWhiteZero has a paper profile with zero CO2 emissions. The paper is available in 80g/m2 in rolls.

Environmentally friendly through the entire production chain

This paper has received the EU Ecolabel which guarantees maximum sustainability in the entire production chain, including strict criteria for emissions to air and water use, energy consumption, use of chemicals, waste management, etc. This label stands for low air and water pollution, use of recycled fibers and restriction of hazardous substances.

FSC recycled and Processed Chlorine Free (PCF)

Océ RecycledWhiteZero carries the FSC recycled label, meaning it is made from 100% post-consumer reclaimed materials such as wood and/or wood fiber. No trees have been cut to make this paper. The FSC organization, a third party certification body, has verified this. The entire chain of custody is assured through yearly audits.
