Mutoh ISIS Print Management White Paper

CaptureMutoh America views large format digital printing from the customer’s perspective – considering the whole printing solution, not just the output component. This customer centric philosophy has led to the development and introduction of Mutoh’s ISIS Print Manager software and compatible Thunderbird ISIS Print Server.

ISIS Print Manager software

ISIS Print Manager software completes the Mutoh printing solution and enhances the performance of Mutoh’s large format indoor and outdoor production printers – Falcon- II and Toucan.

The ISIS Print Manager software is a Windows application designed for Windows 2000 and XP users. It is a PosScript-3 and PDF 1.3 compatible production printing application that makes it possible to layout and print graphic images to Mutoh’s line of large format commercial inkjet printers. Three types of image files can be imported for manipulation: Raster files, vector files, and PostScript files. Supported raster formats include TIFF, Targa, JPEG and the new JPEF-2000 (J2K) format, Windows and OS/2 bitmaps, devise-independent bitmaps, Sun raster, Silicon Graphics, Scitex continuous tone, portable network graphics (PNG), Adobe Photoshop (PSD), JBIG, PCX, FPX and other popular formats. Also included is the EXIF digital camera format. Vector formats include AutoCAD DWG, DWF and DXF formats, HPGL, Windows MetaFile and Enhanced MetaFile, Gerber GBR files, and Macintosh QuickDraw (PICT). Finally, PostScript formats include PostScript-3 print files (PS and PRN), Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) and Portable Document Format (PDF).

Once an image has been opened in ISIS Print Manager, it can be resized, cropped, flipped, mirrored, rotated to any angle, and otherwise manipulated. Extensive color controls allow the user to adjust the image hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, and color balance. Auto-contrast and histro-equalize controls are also provided, as is an extensive collection of image filters.
