urope - Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, announces the launch of its QuickPrint SMB application for small to medium size businesses, schools, health care providers and more. Joining the QuickPrint version for larger enterprises, that Kyocera introduced last year, the latest QuickPrint SMB application streamlines smaller organisations, reducing time-consuming and unnecessary office work.
Like its big brother, the QuickPrint SMB application's purpose is to simplify and speed up document management as well as printing and business operations, while saving costs. Its range of small-business-friendly features begins with installation; the application installs directly and easily on multifunctional devices without requiring a system administrator or IT professional.
Once installed, Kyocera's QuickPrint SMB allows users to access and print documents using their MFPs' touchscreens, minimising the need for PCs and PC skills. Since the process doesn't require communication between the server and multifunctional device, locating and accessing documents as well as device response are significantly quicker for the user. These attributes alone deliver significant savings and simplified processes, which benefit smaller enterprises. "Developing a QuickPrint application and other products that squarely meet the pressing needs of small and medium sized organisations is an important facet of our strategy," notes Sabine Nobel, Software Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe.
Instead of pre-printing: print-on-demand
For most businesses, the use of forms is an integral part of their daily operations and it is often essential for compliance with government or industry regulations. QuickPrint avoids the need to pre-print forms, allowing organisations to easily store and manage their documents electronically and to print current forms, documents, brochures and stationary. This decreases the waste and errors associated with using pre-printed forms, eliminating unnecessary expenses, time for physically procuring and storing of the forms, equipment downtime, extra printer trays, collating, and the disposal and replacement of outdated forms.
QuickPrint also supports most common printing settings, including A3, A4 and A5 paper sizes, landscape and portrait orientation, duplex printing, various colour modes, multiple copies, 1-4 paper trays, and saves properties as default settings. "In smaller businesses where human resources, space and money are frequently limited, Kyocera's QuickPrint application for small to medium sized organisations helps business proprietors thriftily manage their key resources, to improve their bottom line," says Nobel.
