Caltex Fuels Printing with Nationwide OKI Deployment

Sydney, March 2013 – OKI Data Australia, a global manufacturer of business printers and multi-function devices, today announced that Caltex, has commenced deployment of a range of colour and mono multi-function printing devices across its Australian retail and franchise operations nationwide.

Caltex,a leading Australian transport fuel supplier and convenience retailer, selected OKI products based on their robust build quality, reliability, impressive media handling and printing capabilities, as well as OKI’s ability to deliver country-wide technical service. OKI was also able to offer Caltex reduced cost per copy via its high yield toner technology, flexibility to change IP addresses and a standard three year product warranty.

Caltex will deploy 100 OKI MC362 A4 colour multifunction printers within its own wholly-owned retail petrol and convenience stores and 500 B431dn A4 mono single function printers within its network of franchised business operations.

Featuring colour print speeds of 22ppm and mono print speeds of 24ppm, the MC362dn provides a variety of functions and a flexibility of printing, scanning, copying and faxing in-house. The MC362dn offers duplex printing, scanning, copying and faxing as standard, with an automatic RADF, combined with superior quality high definition colour and mono A4 printing.

The OKI B431dn printers feature 1200 x 1200dpi resolution which delivers fine, crisp detail. This is supported by a powerful 330MHz processor and 64MB of memory (expandable to 320MB), and a paper supply that can be increased to 880 sheets to mirror productivity demands.

The printer is also shipped with a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, supporting a range of paper sizes, to meet everyday office printing requirements.

Both the colour and mono devices include ultra-reliable digital LED technology with fewer moving parts for exceptional durability, automatic two-sided printing and a ‘Power Save’ mode that reduces energy consumption. As the toner cartridge and drum are all separate, store managers only ever have to replace what needs replacing at the moment of need.

“We are thrilled that Caltex has chosen OKI to facilitate efficiencies in their retail environment as well as improve customer experiences. Operating in a market where customers have more choices and higher expectations than ever before, we were able to offer solutions which incorporated superior functionality, were easier to use and required less administrative support,” said Antonio Leone, ANZ Marketing Manager, OKI Data Australia.

Physical deployment of the OKI devices across Caltex’ retail and franchise operations will be conducted by Fujitsu.
