Billback Systems, the global leader in expense management systems, has hired legal technology marketing expert Nancy Duvall Wagner as their new vice president of global marketing. She brings more than 20 years of B2B marketing experience to the rapidly growing firm.
Prior to joining Billback, she spent considerable time working in the legal market–both as a practicing attorney in the state of Ohio and for companies that sell software and technology to firms.
“Nancy is the perfect person to lead our international marketing team during this critical growth period” said Billback CEO Andrew Moon. “We expect big things from her and know that her experience working with leading technology and professional service firms, her passionate work style, and her vision for our brand will serve her and the company well as we continue to make inroads into the competitive marketplace.”
Before joining Billback, Wagner was a Director of Market Strategy & Planning at LexisNexis and led the marketing roll-out of the software company’s new tax product for the law firm market. Previously, she served in other marketing and product development capacities within the organization.
Wagner was also segment manager of legal and education markets at CCH Incorporated, a publisher and software developer for tax, accounting, and legal businesses. She worked for Reynolds & Reynolds, a Dayton, Ohio information services company for the automotive industry as the Director of Privacy and Data Services. Wagner began her career as an attorney in general practice for two law firms.
She holds a Juris Doctorate and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Dayton.
Billback’s cost management tools and expense management system are favorites among top law firms as well as other professional service industries. The company helps clients boost profitability by managing expenses for client-related administrative costs including network printing and faxing, copying, scanning, telephone and mobile phone calls, online searches, emails, credit card charges, courier costs and more. Additionally, the system enjoys tight integration with billing and practice management software such as Thomson Elite and Rainmaker.
“Billback has a strong brand reputation and is really poised for substantial growth,” says Wagner. “We’re looking to capture more market share and intend to earn that business by focusing on our unique strengths and by aggressively communicating our value to prospective clients.”
Wagner will lead the global marketing team as the 25-year-old company enters its forth year in the United States and fifth year in the United Kingdom. The company was founded in Australia and moved its headquarters to Dayton, Ohio in 2007.
Billback’s entry into the U.S. market has been phenomenal by all industry standards. In the last few years, the company has brought on 150 North American law firm clients, including more than 35 in the AmLaw 200 list of top firms.
