Canon Launches eCopy v5 with Enhanced Digital Workflow

<p>Canon Australia today announced the new release of its scanning and workflow solution, eCopy v5. Canon Launches Two New High Speed Colour Large Format Printers at PrintEX

<p>Canon Australia today announced two new high speed colour large format printers - the 24 inch imagePROGRAF iPF6300S and 44 inch imagePROGRAF iPF8300S will be launched at PrintEX. Using Canon’s 8-colour LUCIA EX pigment ink system to deliver outstanding image quality, the two new models provide the perfect balance between quality and productivity, making them ideal for the production, proofing, photographic and in-house print markets.</p> <p>“The imagePROGRAF iPF6300S and iPF8300S are comprehensive solutions for the easy, timely and high quality production of proofs, photographs, posters and point-of-sale (POS) display material,” said Troy Neighbour, Product Manager – LFP, Canon Australia.</p> <p>The imagePROGRAF iPF6300S, successor to the iPF6000S, and the imagePROGRAF iPF8300S have been developed to complement Canon’s large format printer range. Canon Australian and New Zealand comment on Japanese Earthquake

<p>According to Kenji Kobayashi, managing director of Canon Oceania, please see a summary overview of damage reported at Canon Inc. operating sites and Canon Group companies in Japan as of 15:00 JST on Sunday, March 13, 2011:</p> <ul> <li>Canon continues working to ascertain damages and determine when operations can resume.&#160; </li> <li>With regard to Canon offices, plants and Canon Group companies in Japan, there have been reports from several sites of power outages, damage to buildings and stoppages in production equipment.&#160; </li> <li>At Canon Inc.’s Utsunomiya Office in northern Honshu, there have been 15 injuries confirmed. None of these, however, were life-threatening injuries.&#160; </li> <li>While the earthquake had a slight impact on Canon offices, plants and Group companies in the western half of Honshu, there have been no injuries and no significant damage to buildings or equipment. </li> <li>In the event that production operations may be suspended for a month or more, the Company will consider making use of alternate sites that were not damaged by the earthquake as a means of continuing production. </li> <li>To aid in the relief efforts for the earthquake victims, the Canon Group is making a donation of 300 million yen ($AU 3.7 million / $NZ 4.9 million) to the Japanese Red Cross Society and other humanitarian aid organizations, and will provide supplies as needed. </li> </ul>

Canon Launches Two New 44 inch Printers for Design, Architecture and Production Print Markets

<p>Canon Australia today announced two new 44 inch imagePROGRAF models to its large format printer range, with the five colour imagePROGRAF iPF815 and iPF825. Featuring high speed and exceptional quality the new models have been designed for applications in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), Computer Aided-Design (CAD) and production print markets.</p> <p>“The new models incorporate groundbreaking new features that maximise productivity and increase usability. By blending features with functionality, the latest additions to our large format printer range boast the fastest print speeds, greatest accuracy and richest features available in the AEC, CAD and other technical documents markets,” Troy Neighbour, Product Manager – LFP, Canon Australia.</p> <p>The 44 inch printers deliver exceptional line reproduction, with minimum line width of 0.02mm and superb image quality with 1,200 dpi high resolution printing.
