CopierCatalog.com Provides Continually Updated Product Catalogs for Dealer Websites
Submitted by Corey Smith on Tue, 07/08/2008 - 13:28Today, Dealer Marketing Systems announced the launch of CopierCatalog.com, a service that provides continually-updated product catalogs to office equipment resellers.
"One of the biggest hassles our clients have had is maintaining product catalogs," said Darrell Amy, President of Dealer Marketing Systems. "We wanted to find a better way and I believe we have hit the bulls eye with this offering."
Having updated products on a dealer's site is critical. While only a few buyers ever visit a dealer's showroom, virtually all buyers visit a dealer's website during the buying process. It is critical that dealers have current product information available on their site.
Dealers have traditionally had limited options when it comes to web product catalogs. The "do-it-yourself" approach typically ends up with outdated product on the site. This reflects poorly on the dealership.

New Photizo Report: Managed Print Services Reshaping the Industry
Submitted by Corey Smith on Mon, 04/14/2008 - 09:49Lexington, KY – April 14, 2008 – Increasing interest in Managed Print Services (MPS) is reshaping the industry, according to new research from the Photizo Group. MPS refers to outsourcing of imaging devices of any kind, but today it involves more than just leasing copiers. In a full engagement, a vendor will analyze enterprise equipment utilization and recommend a deployment strategy. The vendor will then manage and maintain the fleet. MPS decisions can be very confusing, and they represent big risks for IT professionals, facilities managers, and others. Contracts affect millions of printed pages annually. If a program fails, it can have significant financial impact on the customer, and it can negatively impact the customer’s perception of the MPS provider.
Dealers Share Their Thoughts on Challenging Economy
Submitted by Corey Smith on Tue, 04/08/2008 - 08:29from Buyers Lab.
April 8, 2008 - BLI recently gave executives at four manufacturers the opportunity to comment about the current economic conditions in the United States. There were slightly different responses to a few of the questions posed to them, but they all agreed that the lynchpin to their companies’ strategies is keeping customers satisfied and that managed print services (MPS) will grow to be even more vital. As a follow up to that article BLI spoke with representatives from five dealers, and although they had similar thoughts about customers and MPS, some of their answers ran contrary to what the executives said a month ago. Here’s what BLI discovered…
Have You Been Affected?
The debate over whether or not the United States is in a “recession” rages on, with every expert and talking head on television or radio offering up his or her opinion. By and large, the dealers feel that the economy is constrained, but that their companies are nevertheless increasing their profitability.
