New features include the ability to create customized catalogs based on the dealer's individual preferences and the ability to create custom purchasing portals for clients.
"Many of our clients carry multiple product lines," said Darrell Amy, President. "In addition to building product catalogs around a manufacturer, we wanted to offer the capability to create catalogs based on virtually any criteria."
With the new version, dealers have full control over their product catalogs. For example, a dealer could create a "Workgroup Color" catalog that contained all of the dealer's color MFP's from Canon and Konica Minolta. Or, the dealer could create a "Production Color" catalog that contained high-volume color MFP's and wide format systems from multiple manufacturers.
The newest release also features the ability to create custom purchasing portals for clients. "Several dealers came to us asking for the ability to sell printers on their websites," recalled Amy. "They didn't think it made sense to send a rep across town to pick up an order for a $500 printer."
With the online purchasing portal option, dealers can create custom catalogs for individual clients. Full control is given over which products appear in the catalog. Dealers can assign special pricing to a client based on pre-configured pricing tiers. Incoming orders can be routed to an email address so that than an invoice can be created. Alternatively, orders can be handled by credit card by integrating the dealer's merchant account.
