Users of HP multifunctional peripherals are now able to efficiently capture documents and automatically process them thanks to AutoStore, the server based middleware from NSi. AutoStore was created to capture, process and route documents and information through automated workflows. This new component is able to embed all MFPs that support HP’s OXPd platform. OXPd stands for eXtensibility Platform for Devices, and fulfills the purpose of creating an open developer’s environment for embedding software of third party manufacturers.
With the OXPd integration, current HP devices like CM 3530 MFP or Edgeline MFD 8050/8060, can be equipped with user-friendly menus for integrating input into electronically dominated business processes. This can be useful, for example, for indexing documents from the front panel of a device before capturing them. Additionally, AutoStore offers a range of processing functions like text and barcode recognition, conversion to PDF/A, Word or Excel and a direct connection to numerous document management systems (DMS).
Integration via Drag & Drop
The new component is the result of intensive teamwork for over eight years between NSi and HP. Enno Arne Lueckel, Managing Director of NSi Europe reports that “System integrators and users can now add HP devices deeper into business processes with the help of a simple drag and drop menu instead of complex programming.”
The new component is available out-of-the-box with the business solution AutoStore Workflow, and the entry solution AutoStore Express. AutoStore Express contains a compact package of functions including Abbyy OCR, connection to SharePoint, Notes and several databases. AutoStore Express is available in special trade beginning at 650 Euros / 800 USD. Interested parties may ask for special traders under sales@nsieu.com (EMEA) or sales@nsius.com.
