Canon Europe announces six new independent software vendor relationships

AMSTELVEEN, May 14th, 2008 – Canon Europe, world leader in digital imaging technology, has today announced six new independent software vendor (ISV) relationships across Europe. The new partnerships will make software from Billback Systems, Captaris, Copitrak, Equitrac, NSI, and Pharos Systems available on Canon devices through ISV partnerships.

MFP dealers will now be able to provide software from ISV partners alongside its comprehensive portfolio of MFPs. The new ISV relationships mean customers will be able to access a broader range of applications with their Canon MFP, enabling more seamless integration with a company’s IT networks and workflow systems, including billing, print asset management and cost-recovery.

Adam Gillbe, European Solutions Marketing Manager, Canon Europe says: “Canon is in the business of providing the best possible choice of products to its business customers. In addition to Canon’s portfolio of powerful solutions, this initiative will give customers a greater choice when integrating Canon hardware and software into their business environment.”

The initiative will be piloted in the UK, France and Germany with local promotional relationships and activities in the sales channel.

Concluded Gillbe: “In addition to this raft of new partnerships, Canon boasts one of the market’s leading portfolio of imaging solutions, including uniFLOW Output Manager, which allows customers to manage the output and cost of print. Not to mention Canon's document management solutions, ADOS, eCopy and iW360. Canon remains committed to the continued development of solutions that increase productivity and efficiency for end users.”
