Panasonic KV-SSM100 Network Scanner Solution Wins Outstanding Achievement in Innovation Award from the Analysts at Buyers Lab

Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, Division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, today announced receipt of a coveted Winter 2018 Outstanding Achievement in Innovation award in the scanner category for its KV-SSM100 Network Scanner Solution. Given twice annually by Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab, the world’s leading independent provider of testing services and analytical information to the document imaging industry, Outstanding Achievement awards recognize products or capabilities that stand out for attributes such as innovation, usefulness or value.

“The KV-SSM100 transforms your USB-connected scanner into an automated portal for scanning, processing, and routing batches,” said Lee Davis, editor for scanners and solutions at Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab. “With the KV-SSM100, businesses can replace multiple USB-connected desktop scanners with a single standalone network device. Instead of purchasing a new costly network scanner, businesses can use any of their existing USB-connected desktop scanners for a fraction of the cost.”

In order to develop the KV-SSM100 Network Scanner Solution, Panasonic built a custom application and user interface for the Panasonic FZ-M1 Toughpad which allows the device to direct scan to email, fax, network shared folders and more. This specially tailored solution transforms most Panasonic USB-connected desktop scanners into network scanners. When connected, the KV-SSM100 Network Scanner Solution enhances the device’s media handling, image processing and routing capabilities. Additionally, due to its remote administration capabilities, 7-inch color touchscreen display and i5-Core processor, the KV-SSM100 Network Scanner Solution provides a simplified, intuitive user experience.

“We’re thrilled that the KV-SSM100 solution has been recognized by Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab for its unique ability to convert Panasonic USB-connected scanners into network scanners,” said Joseph Odore, Product Manager at Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “The independent testing conducted by Buyers Lab proves that our product minimizes costs for users while ensuring a simplified experience.”
