Quality is of paramount importance to Warren; and this is particularly the case in regard to print colour accuracy and transitions. “Typically, people talk about colour gamut as being one of the major factors in print quality, but the reality is that most printers today have no problem at all in delivering on gamut,” he explains. “The real challenge is how the printer’s gamut is used in key areas such as transitions – and this is where the Epson Stylus Pro 11880 stands out.”

According to Warren, the printer’s ability to effect natural and smooth transition is plainly obvious in landscape photography prints in which the deep blues of the sky fade into blackness. “This is where most printer/ink combinations have problems,” he says. “With the Epson Stylus Pro 11880, though, the transitions are incredibly smooth and there’s no evidence of the excess magenta that you’ll typically find with other printers.

On a quiet day at the end of October in 2004, the United States government implemented one of the most sweeping changes to the banking system since the invention of revolving credit lines. The Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act, or “Check 21” as it has come to be known, revolutionized the way paper checks are handled. Checks can now be converted into a digital format resulting in faster processing, quicker funds availability, reduced fraud risk and lower costs.

One of the major benefits of Check 21 is that anyone can create electronic versions of checks and deposit funds to participating institutions over the Internet, which is known as Remote Deposit Capture (RDC). As a side effect of this change, credit unions are able to expand the geography they
serve since businesses and consumers can make electronic deposits without the need for an expansive network of branches. Benefitting from Electronic Check Workflows

For more than 30 years, EasCorp has been helping their member credit unions with a host of deposit, loan and investment services, ALM modeling and consulting, electronic payment and processing programs, share draft processing, and statement rendering. Once Check 21 was enacted, they developed and launched a branch capture program, Ease-Deposit.
