Global Imaging Announces Agreement to Acquire ComDoc
TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 30, 2009 -- Global Imaging Systems, Inc., a Xerox company (NYSE: XRX), today announced a definitive agreement to acquire ComDoc, Inc. This acquisition will expand Global Imaging's coverage into four states offering them access to more than 14,000 new customers.
One of the larger independent dealers in the U.S., ComDoc, sells products from various suppliers, none of which today include Xerox. In addition to its existing offerings, ComDoc will start selling Xerox document management products following the close of the acquisition.

EFI REPORTS Q4 2008 Results
Foster City, Calif. – January 29, 2009 – EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in customer-focused digital printing, announced today its results for the fourth quarter of 2008. For the quarter ended December 31, 2008, the Company reported revenues of $135.3 million, compared to fourth quarter 2007 revenues of $152.0 million. The Company also announced that in the fourth quarter of 2008, it will recognize a non-cash charge currently estimated in the range of approximately $100 million to $130 million related to the impairment of goodwill and long-lived assets.
Including the non-cash charge, the GAAP net (loss) is estimated to be in the range of $(103.3) million to $(133.3) million or $(2.01) to $(2.59) per diluted share in the fourth quarter of 2008, compared to net income of $7.0 million or $0.12 per diluted share for the same period in 2007.

EFI Closes Sale of Real Estate Assets to Gilead Sciences

Pursuant to this transaction the Company sold certain real property to Gilead for a total purchase price of $137.5 million, subject to an escrow holdback of approximately 11%. The property sold included approximately thirty acres of land, which is entitled for development, the office building located at 301 Velocity Way consisting of approximately 163,000 square feet, and certain other assets related to the property.
The Company retains ownership of the remaining land and the office building located at 303 Velocity Way consisting of approximately 295,000 square feet on approximately five acres of land, which is the Company's current headquarters.

Xerox Reports Fourth-Quarter 2008 Results
NORWALK, Conn., Jan. 23, 2009 – Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) announced today fourth-quarter 2008 financial performance that, including previously disclosed restructuring charges, resulted in break-even earnings per share and adjusted earnings per share of 30 cents. Adjustments include a restructuring charge of 27 cents per share as well as an equipment write-off of 3 cents per share.
The company’s full-year 2008 net income was $230 million, including a previously announced litigation charge. Excluding charges, adjusted net income was $985 million for the year. Total revenue was $17.6 billion, a 2 percent increase from fullyear 2007. The company generated $939 million of operating cash flow. Adjusted core cash flow for the year was $1.7 billion.
“In the fourth quarter, the continued weakening economy and rapid shift in exchange rates put pressure on the business,” said Anne Mulcahy, chairman and chief executive officer. “Despite this challenging marketplace, we delivered $265 million in adjusted net income for the quarter and $985 million for the year.”
