ADS-S Refreshes Name and Corporate Image
Allied Document Solutions & Services, formerly known as Allied Data Sales & Services, is proud to announce the release of its new corporate brand.
“Like many businesses, our business has evolved,” said Rob Richardson, President of ADS-S. “Over the past few years we have added new services and solutions to our portfolio. We wanted to make sure our clients understood the full spectrum of what we now offer.”
The New Jersey-based company started by providing printer and data center supplies to companies in the mid Atlantic area in 1994. Requests from clients prompted the company to begin providing printer service in 1999. The next logical step was also to provide printer and multifunction system hardware. Next the company launched a managed print services program where they provide printer service, supplies and technical support in a usage-based model for one low cost per page.
Recently, ADS-S became a Hewlett Packard Office Printing Solutions partner. The company is part of a select group of value-driven HP partners that integrate printers and multifunction systems with cost-saving management tools and productivity-enhancing workflow solutions.
Realizing that their current branding did not support the new value proposition, the company began a process to update the brand and website.
“The first decision we had to make was regarding our name,” said Richardson. “We figure that the common denominator of the services we provide our clients is related to documents.”
Based on the theme of documents, the company changed its name to Allied Document Solutions and Services. The new name matches the previous company initials of ADS-S and web address of www.ads-s.com.
The company commissioned ProspectBuilder.net to create a new logo. The new logo features several sheets of paper in cyan, magenta and yellow, the three colors for printer toner. The initials also feature the “.com” reference to the company’s website. The company’s full name is in a smaller font below the new moniker.
In addition to the new logo, ADS-S also wanted to refresh its web presence. The company engaged ProspectBuilder.net to design a new web presence. The design of new site features bright colors to match the new logo. Rotating flash on the home page explains the value proposition. Other graphics feature the core offerings of the company.
“Inside the site, clients will find rich content explaining the benefits of ADS-S’ new services and solutions,” commented Darrell Amy, President of ProspectBuilder.net. “We wanted to make sure that the company is correctly positioned to be seen as the credible source of managed print and document solutions that they are.”
In addition to information on the company and its offerings, the site also provides an interface for clients to enter and monitor service calls. ADS-S uses e-Automate®, a specialized ERP system by Digital Gateway for office technology service providers. The e-info® system allows clients to log service calls directly into the e-automate®. Users can also see the status of the service call.
Richardson wants the website to become a useful tool for ADS-S clients. “Combining the convenience of online service with new content on our offerings will be a helpful tool to our clients.”
