IQ MFP...The Electronic Filing Solution That Makes You More Efficient And More Profitable.
Submitted by Sara Johnson on Thu, 02/04/2010 - 19:35
Independent studies by major auditing firms indicate that most businesses lose one out of every twenty documents they create or receive. The costs associated with lost or simply misfiled documents mount quickly.
In partnership with HP, Informa Software delivers a solution that eliminates the time wasted looking for documents and the cost of making unnecessary copies.
Simply scan from the front panel of an HP mfp and file your document with a few keywords. Unlike copier-based mfps, IQmfp allows the input of index keywords from your desktop. All document types and search fields are custom-definable. IQmfp will also capture documents from MS Office applications or any Windows file type through the native Windows “Send to” feature with a few keystrokes.
Security at the document type, user and group levels insure that only authorized users gain access to documents.
Using an intuitive browser-based search, IQmfp can find documents by keywords or data ranges. Documents are displayed in the industry-standard Adobe® PDF Reader, allowing you to save, print, e-mail or even fax as necessary. IQmfp saves you money by dramatically reducing labor and other operational costs. Fewer trips to the filing cabinet and copier mean more employee productivity. Finding information quicker means being more responsive to customers, which translates directly into a competitive advantage.

· Are you a large or small company?
· What will this device be used for?
· What quality and performance features are you looking for?
· What is your budget?
Panasonic Takes Aim at Fast-Growing A4 Class MFP Market
Submitted by Sara Johnson on Thu, 02/04/2010 - 14:24SECAUCUS, NJ: February 4, 2010 — Panasonic System Networks Company of America today announced plans to substantially increase its footprint in the burgeoning market for A4 multi-function products. The A4 market has undergone rapid growth and is emerging as the de facto standard in the marketplace. As a consequence the A3 market has been fading and will no longer be a focus for Panasonic going forward. Based on internal Panasonic research the A4 market is projected to be dominant by 2012 and account for the majority of imaging devices sold.
According to Product Specialist for MFP/Fax Joseph Odore, the product mix realignment is based on Panasonic's long-standing commitment to proactively fulfilling channel partner and end user requirements by responding to changes in market dynamics in a timely and decisive manner.
"All the relevant indices -- leased machine levels, printed page volume, and overall sales of new machines -- make it clear that A3 MFPs are already, or soon will be, a legacy document format and that A4 MFPs are swiftly becoming the lineup that will best serve our customers’ needs for the beginning of this decade and the foreseeable future,” Odore said.
As a leading manufacturer of document imaging products, Panasonic has an unparalleled ability to turn on a dime in response to customer demands. Designing, engineering and building its own machines and most of the internal components in Panasonic-owned research centers and factories makes adjusting supply-side capabilities to reflect demand-side changes significantly easier for Panasonic than for competitors dependent on 'white box' vendors for their products.

Océ Large Format Printers/Plotters and Scanners Receive High Rating from Users in National Office Products Analyst Survey
Submitted by Sara Johnson on Wed, 02/03/2010 - 18:45February 3, 2009, Trumbull, CT– Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced its large format printers/plotters were rated best overall and Océ scanners received the "OPA Recommended" award in the 2009 annual Office Products Analyst (OPA) Print for Pay Survey.
Each year, the OPA asks commercial printers and publishing houses to rate the color printers they work with on a daily basis. The organization then compiles the results into its Print for Pay Survey. Surveys were completed via extensive telephone interviews and the internet over the course of six weeks. After a thorough validation process, the OPA had 296 responses represented in the study.
For the Wide Format Printer/Plotter portion of the study, respondents were asked to rate their large format printer/plotter on reliability, image quality, ease of use and productivity. Océ received high marks in all four categories, including the top ranking in reliability and productivity. The combined ranking of all four categories gave Océ the best overall rating for its wide format printer/plotters.

Direct Mail Partners Reducing Costs by More Than $150,000 Annually Printing Healthcare Documentation with Océ VarioPrint Ultra Cutsheet Printers
Submitted by Sara Johnson on Tue, 02/02/2010 - 18:43February 2, 2010 — Trumbull, CT — Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, announced today that by deploying printers from the Océ VarioPrint® 6000 Ultra cutsheet print family, Direct Mail Partners will replace several competitive devices, consolidate printer footprint, and reduce overall monthly operational expenses by more than $10,000. Two Océ VarioPrint 6250 Ultra cutsheet printers will be upgraded to Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra systems as part of a planned growth path to add speed to production of their customers’ bills, statements and policy documents.
“Our rationale for the Océ purchase lies in the speed and lower operating costs of the new Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra printers. This lets us consolidate three printers into two, reduce administrative operations, and cut our monthly service and maintenance expenses by over $10,000 per month. The total increase to net income exceeds $150,000 per year,” said Direct Mail Partners CEO Kevin M. Burke. Direct Mail Partners is a variable data printer and pre-sort business specializing in billing, statements, insurance policy documentation, and complex document composition and printing.
“We also simplified our workflows through increased automation, less human intervention, and improved document integrity,” Burke added. Nonproprietary Océ digital workflow supports business growth by letting Direct Mail Partners take on more types of jobs using existing printing resources. The two Océ systems displaced competing cutsheet and continuous feed printers, resulting in a smaller space requirement on the production floor.
